LIVE. LOVE. LEARN. RED. and discover your "Purse-onality"!

A highlight of the Montgomery County Go Red for Women Luncheon is our "Purse-onality" silent auction. Each year many of your Montgomery County community leaders, businesses and neighbors donate fabulous purses and spice them up with all the extra "goodies" we love. The pictures above feature the hip, fun purses and themed gifts donated by Sharla Shumaker and Kelly Wortham. Girls Gone Wild! Features a Romero Britto bag accompanied by dinner for two at Kirby's, Wine, Shoe Wine Bottle Holder, Two Wine Glasses, Napkins, Chip and Dip Bowl, plus an Expressions from the Heart Ornament! This "Purse-onality" is just one of many that you'll have the opportunity to bid on at this year's luncheon. Click here for a sample list of our delightful donors and their "Purse-onalities" and packages for this year's luncheon. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Heart Association. We hope you'll join us as we raise awareness of heart disease and support the efforts of the American Heart Association and partners like Conroe Regional Medical Center.

Jennifer's story

35 year old Jennifer Plunkett thought her shortness of breath and racing heart were the result of asthma. As a registered nurse at Conroe Regional Medical Center, Jennifer is always taking care of others and barely paid attention to her nagging fatigue, blaming her hectic days in the Emergency Room and caring for two young children as the cause of her exhaustion. It wasn't until she nearly passed out on a family vacation that she decided to pursue help with Conroe Regional Medical Center's Dr. Ramesh Hariharan, a cardiac electrophysiologist or E.P. for short. An E.P. doctor specializes in helping people who have problems with their heart rhythm. That's exactly what Jennifer discovered was wrong with her heart. Join Jennifer Plunkett at this year's Go Red For Women Luncheon as she shares her moving story of triumph over heart disease. See the video below to hear Jennifer's story. As she says, "If it can happen to her, a registered nurse, it can happen to anyone." Take action now to prevent heart disease.
